Manco Capac is a red roan with dark head and legs on the Peruvian Paso Stallion mold. Known for their smooth gaits, proud carriage and luxurious flowing manes, Peruvian Pasos are favored as trail horses and parade horses. Today's Peruvian Paso, stands at an average of 14.3 hands and goes back to the horses brought to Peru by 15th century Spanish Conquistadors. The breed has been cherished for centuries and the inborn four-beat lateral gait and "termino" for which they are known, has been as carefully cultivated as their intelligence and kind, willing dispositions.
